Government Charges and TSMIT Increase Effective from July 1st

Government Charges and TSMIT Increase Effective from July 1st

With the federal budget being released on Tuesday evening, we have confirmed the following changes:

TSMIT Increase: The Department of Home Affairs has announced that the TSMIT will increase from $70,000 to $73,150 effective from 1 July 2024.

New 482, 494 & 186 nomination applications that are lodged from 1 July 2024 will need to meet the new rate. All applications lodged after this date will be required to demonstrate the higher AMSR and TSMIT level.

Visa Charges: From July 1st, Visa Charges will also rise in line with CPI. So, any applications lodged after this date will be subject to the new rates.

The last 2 weeks of June are incredibly busy at Milestone Migration with everyone wanting to get their applications in before the increases. We encourage you to get your applications to us by no later than 15th June if you want them lodged before June 30th.

Applications received after this date may not be lodged before the change and you will need to cover the difference in charges to adjust employment offers and align with the new price schedule, even if Milestone is already holding funds for the application.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need further clarification.
