Changes made to Northern Territory Offshore Migration Occupation List

Changes made to Northern Territory Offshore Migration Occupation List

The Northern Territory is now welcoming offshore skilled applicants. Changes have been made to its Offshore Migration Occupation List for 190/491 visas.

The changes include providing evidence of Australian licensing/registration and communication skills that meet the licensing or registration requirements.

This Offshore Migration Occupation List only applies to those applying for NT nomination outside Australia, under the Priority Occupation stream.

Please note: Offshore applicants will generally only be offered a nomination for a subclass 491 visa. Subclass 190 nominations will only be offered in exceptional circumstances, such as cases where the applicant has strong connections to the NT. Some occupations are only eligible for a subclass 491 visa nomination.

Before applying for the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) (subclass 491) visa and Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa, applicants must satisfy the Department of Home Affairs requirements and meet the Northern Territory (NT) Government requirements.

Requirements can be changed at any time by the NT Government and meeting these requirements does not guarantee a nomination.

Talk to a migration agent if you are not sure about your visa application. Our registered migration agents can also be found in the Department of Home Affairs Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority.
